Grant Tucker
November 17, 2008 – November 21, 2020
Grant was an athletic, competitive, and good-natured little boy who was extremely well loved in the small community of Goshen, KY. He touched the lives of many people in his short time with us and it is evident how special he was, by the outpouring of love and support the Tuckers have received from people near and far.
Grant brought a smile into the room and he had this kind of natural ability of lifting everyone up. He was like a social butterfly, floating around the room, leaving friends and adults both with smiles on their faces. Grant was a selfless child and had a lasting impression on those around them. When his 5th grade class was asked to write an essay on who inspired them most of the kids wrote about parents, grandparents, or pro athletes but one girl in his class chose to write about Grant and how he inspired others to be caring, encouraging, and giving. He was everyone’s best friend.
Grant’s love for athletics and his giving nature is what has inspired Grant’s Giving Foundation. Grant ran cross country, played baseball, and most importantly basketball. When he wasn’t competing, he was on the sidelines cheering for the rest of his teammates. He was encouraging to those kids who weren’t as athletically gifted as himself. He believed everyone should be given the chance to play regardless of skill or their financial situation.
It is the goal of his friends and family to keep his legacy alive and use it to help others play the game. We know it is what Grant would have wanted.
