Grace James Academy
Grace James Academy is a Title 1 school all girls STEAM Magnet school housing grades 6-10, located in the West End of Louisville. The school has limited facilities and fields for their teams to practice. All of our sports team are open to any girls interested and they typically do not charge for uniforms, equipment, travel fees, etc. Their biggest need currently is an activity van to transport students to practice locations. We were able to help them out with a few thousand dollars thanks to your donations!

Individual
From a local high school counselor – I had a female senior in my office crying over the realization that she would be unable to compete in her senior season of Lacrosse. When we got into the discussion she mentioned the only thing keeping her from playing is the $250 in sports fees. She may be many things but a liar is not one of them. The student has a part time job at, however due to the nature of lacrosse season she is only working on Sunday’s, these pay checks are going to help her family with bills and gas.

Kenwood Elementary (JCPS)
Kenwood Elementary in JCPS music teacher, Ms. Phillips, has been using the same music symbols since she started 17 years ago and all the straps were rotted off. She has a bucket drumming club and they call themselves The Chipped Sticks because their drum sticks were in such bad shape. Well it’s time for them to come up with new name because they no longer have to use those old nasty drum sticks!

The Nomads 14U baseball team reached out to Grant’s Giving to see if we could help out with expenses for a couple of kiddos that were going through a tough time and we were more than happy to help. The Nomads have also decided to put the GG logo on the sleeves of their uniforms.
